  5. Where can I find training on Adult Safeguarding

We would recommend Partners in Care Safeguarding Adults Awareness course

You may also find appropriate safeguarding training through Joint Training

The training provided by Joint Training is accessible for learners across a really wide range of sectors (Local Authority, independent care, housing, health, voluntary/charity etc) and is currently offered free of charge (funded by Shropshire Council) for volunteers supporting adults in Shropshire and family carers. They run the Safeguarding Adults Awareness courses approx. 3 times a month, offered as both online live-learning and classroom-based training and have been delivering a redeveloped course since April 2024 which is getting very positive feedback from learners. Their safeguarding training offer also includes Safeguarding Adults for Provider Managers, Safeguarding Adults Enquiry training, Exploitation and Vulnerability Awareness, Introduction to Sexual Violence/Abuse among others

There is more information on the training offered by our Partners on our Training Page
